singer // songwriter // actor // producer // composer
Lizzy Hilliard is an ambitious storyteller living in New York City and making art on her own terms. Sometimes that's a fifty second long video featuring a song about her workplace bathroom, sometimes that's an hour and fifteen minute long album about graduating college and trying to discern who you are and what your place is in the world. Lizzy loves to skate the line between quirky and sincere, imbuing the everyday with whimsical metaphors and evocative imagery. Her music hones an often soft and folksy sound, and frequently features a warm backdrop of guitars, strings and vocals.
Hilliard studied Music, Theater and English at Brandeis University, and this background influences her creative work. Though she grew up focused primarily in the musical theater world, today she finds freedom and expression in making her own music, blending her passion for storytelling with her love for song.
Lizzy has played in a variety of spaces, from farmer's markets and local bars to venues like Brooklyn Music Kitchen or Bowery Electric to festivals like Folk Fest at Brandeis University or the Red Lodge Songwriters' Festival in Montana. Her song, 'if you were a worm', has over 2 million views on TikTok, and her song 'thumbelina' has over 300,000 streams on Spotify. She has opened for artists including Philip Labes and Sofía Campoamor, and she has been featured on one of TikTok's official livestreams.
